The CL-455EGG Universal Eggcrate attachment works on all our 4 x 55 watt models from the CL-455/MD studio models to the CL-455P/PMD portable models. An eggcrate is another light control filter that directs a softlight forward and cuts down on its side spill.

On the CL-455, it simply slides into the accessory adapter in place of the barndoors--so the two are mutually exclusive. On the CL-455P/PMD models, it goes into the PVC accessory flange grip along the edge of the barndoors. No need to remove barndoors on the portable models--you can operate with both barndoors and eggcrates.

This item is normally $34.95 but is $29 when bought in the same order with a CL-455/MD or CL-455P/PMD model.

The cell size of this eggcrate attachment is 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2" thick (13mm). The exact dimensions of the panel are 21 1/4" (540mm) x 11 1/4" (285mm) x 1/2" (15mm). It is lightweight at 1 lb. (.47 kg) and made from thin cell aluminum powder coated black for a tough, scratch resistant finish that will last for years. There is an aluminum frame around the eggcrate to facilitate it's entry into a slide in or grip type adapter like those found on our Softlight Series.
