I was looking to buy an el-cheapo Chinese made 575W fresnel when I stumbled on this website. I have a Desisti 1200 W HMI but I hate to lug it around on smaller location assignments and I wanted a daylight source that would work well for me in small offices with windows (ie daylight). I'm tired of gelling 3200K hot lights to get back to daylight so I can use some existing light in backgrounds and coming through windows. I bought the dim-able 600 in wash and LOVE it. It's super small, lightweight, puts out great daylight, and I can dim it down to nothing and still get a decent color temp and shoot my DSLR's wide open with fast glass. I'm trying to decide on buying a 600 spot version next or the little 256... I'm more than pleased with my purchase and am so happy I passed on a used lite-panels unit for $1200 a few months back. I highly recommend this outfit, their product, and the quality of light I'm getting on location. I'm very tempted to try the 150 fresnel that is also daylight, but being able to dim at will is tough to beat.
