Our Cool Lights 55 watt PL bulb comes in either 3200K or 5600K and was engineered especially for video and digital photography but we buy in significant quantity to save you money over the normal options in studio grade biax bulbs. Our lamp tests out at >87 CRI but maintains adequate lumen level compared to some other competitors (see test report here). High CRI bulbs are notoriously handicapped in light output (as the green spike is balanced out so is the light). We took great care to try to maintain the lumens and found a good compromise point of just below 90 CRI. Life of our bulb is 8000 hours! Lumen output is 2900. Biax PL type lamp uses a 2G11 base as in our softlight fixture series.
